With a focus on holistic child development, the Nursery year builds foundational skills. Teacher-to-student ratio is maintained at 1:18 for individual attention.
Literacy outcomes
- Identify upper-case letters A to Z
- Identify letter sounds and vocabulary words Aa to Zz
- Sight read one word per letter
Numeracy outcomes
- Identify opposites: big–small, stop–go, happy–sad, up–down, slow–fast, hot–cold, day–night, tall–short
- Identify shapes: circle, square, star, triangle, diamond, oval, semi-circle
- Identify colours: red, yellow, blue, black, white, orange, green, purple
- Rote count from 1 to 20
- Sight read numbers 1 to 20
- Count objects up to 10
- Sight read number words: one to ten
- Count backward 10 to 1 using a number line
- Understand quantities using 'more' and 'less'
- Add or subtract 1 object from a number of objects

About the program
Our program is designed so that students spend their days participating in a structured yet fun curriculum. Daily activities include reading, writing, math, motor skill development, language development, social skill development and physical activities. Teachers create weekly lesson plans with different themes that engage children in a wide variety of subjects.
